Nick Mullens to Richie James
Former C-USA tandem has the game winning pitch and catch for the 49ers last night over the Cowboys.

Darrell Williams (WKU) played LT for the 49ers the entire second half.

Mike White ran the 20 second offense for the Cowboys after that go-ahead score but came up short on the Hail Mary.

Nice little battle of CUSA alumni in that game.

I've met the SF backup QB Beathard. His bro committed to MT for baseball, but never came due to starting a music career.

Taylor Heinicke had a good night against the Bills, hitting 7-9 (78%) and one TD and driving for two TDs on his only two possessions. His QB rating for the night was 155.8. He is competing with Garrett Gilbert for the No. two spot behind Cam Newton, and it looks like he won round one.

Sorry if I hijacked the thread. Just thought I would share another C-USA QB who had a good game last night. Now back to Mullens and Richie.

RE: Nick Mullens to Richie James
If Richie James can get thru the preseason without an injury; he will most assuredly make the 49'ers 53 man squad. Sure wish he'd given MT one more year. But, the money even for a 7th rounder from a dirt poor family was too attractive to decline.

And UNT’s Jeffrey “The Jet” Wilson to the 49’s roster representing CUSA. Hope they all make the final roster.04-cheers

FAU's former kicker Greg Joseph kicked a 48-yard (which equals his career best) FG for Miami Dolphins. Miami has a kicking competition, right now. Joseph is against Sanders, another rookie, from New Mexico. Sanders went 2-for-3, Joseph went 1-for-1.

RE: Nick Mullens to Richie James
FAU's former kicker, Greg Joseph kicked an even longer FG, a 54-yarder, this time. He is 2-for-2 for the preseason (48yd and 54yd), but it still looks like he is losing the competition to another rookie, Jason Sanders of New Mexico State, who has gone 5-for-6, all of a shorter variety.

Yes, Miami Dolphins have two place kickers in camp and both are rookies.
