After the ones who were signed to practice squads (not counting Ernsberger who got cut due to injuries) The defense had 4 NFL players last year and the offense had 2. None of the 6 has season ending injuries. If that’s not wasting your talent I don’t know what is.

I think you are understating the importance of an experienced QB. As "Exhibit A", I offer the Syracuse team of last Friday night. 2 completely different offenses based on who was behind center. And, I think the ineffectiveness of Devito ultimately led to problems for Syracuse defense...too many "3 and outs". Sorta felt like Reece Goddard had changed uniforms and made a return visit to Waldo.

I agree. But that means if we don't see better than 6-6 this season, we really are in trouble.

Look at Cubit's teams. Had NFL talent, but was missing pieces. That was us under Lester Year 1.

Read in the Athletic something I didn't know-- Davis and Spillane were roommates throughout college. Very cool.
