Best of luck to him. Can only think that is good news for us. Hopefully it means the new talent has passed him up.

Could that open up a scholly for a late transfer, or is it too late?

I, too, wish him well. There just doesn't seem to be enough minutes to let everyone who deserves them get them. In cases where there just isn't a good fit, I wish there weren't as many penalties for transferring. I suppose there should be a significant cost, though, to discourage quick decisions and shenanigans and tampering.

I think that's right: it's probably a good sign. Starting with Bo and So. Patrick Good, who Forbes has always talked about as a core player, and adding big time JUCO performers like Tray Boyd, Pun Tisdale and Kevon Tucker, along with highly touted freshmen Carlos Curtis and Daivien Williamson, minutes at guard would probably have been even harder to come by for Kanayo this year.

Definitely a sign that, after summer practice, this talent seems to be real.

There is still time for us to sign someone but unless the staff has someone specific in mind I'd rather them just hold the scholarship for next season. We only have one Senior now and we're loaded at the guard position, so there really isn't a need to rush and get someone who might not play much this season.

He was barely good enough to get minutes last year. His shot was not as advertised. However, the best of luck to him for sure.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. You're out of line with this comment.

Absolutely. Great kid.

This is the talk I'd been hearing for months (even despite the denials from both him and Forbes), but I think he delayed his decision 'til he could see the writing even more clearly on the wall. There *had* to be a loser (at least one), and unfortunately he was the most obvious one.

And yes, there's still time to sign somebody else. At least a couple of the larger guys we'd offered earlier have gone on to sign elsewhere. Immanuel Crump is (best I can tell) "still on the board". (And this is not at all to imply that he does want to sign someone else. But if there was a 5th-year guy out there...…..who knows?)
You've got to think Forbes saw this coming, at least recently. "In Forbes we trust."

No need for something like this even it were true and from all I have heard it isn't.
Good kid that got caught in the numbers game, good luck to him.

Good luck to him. When I saw him at the Rocky Top League (which is no more), he looked impressive. Seemed he just couldn't seem to find his shot or get into any rhythm here.

Good luck to KO. This needed to happen for him and the program for numerous reasons. Look for a much needed big to transfer in and sit this year with 2 yrs left.

He’s eligible to play this season at a DI school since he’s already earned his undergrad degree per JC Press. Already has his degree — looks like he certainly has his head on straight and then some.

I was glad he got his degree and could play this year. I do like the graduate transfer rule. Wish him the best.

Do we have a big packing his bags for ETSU as we speak?
