RE: can anyone confirm
It's a pedestrian bridge, not a land bridge.

There is no land in it. It is steel and concrete.

Neither end even touches land. It goes from one concrete tower to another concrete tower.

Land bridge?

No.

Are the supporting concrete towers suspended in mid air or on land?

Would you consider the new M bridge a land bridge?

What about the old bridge?

Or maybe the walking bridge to it?

Land bridge is a teeny piece of land that connects two bigger pieces so people don’t have to swim, fly or boat to get from one to the other.

Ours is a land bridge—-Euphemistically speaking, of course lol

I hear they have really come on strong with the visual production of the parking garage side of the land bridge.

Starting to take the appearance of a structure not just columns anymore.

Floors are already in on two sections. This accelerated construction thing is no joke.

Land bridge?

No.

Now that is a complete explanation that makes sense. They forgot to consult a dictionary whoever started calling it a land bridge but that’s its name right or wrong.

Three sections, 1st, 2nd, and top.

I guess this is the lounge area as you come off the bridge and down the elevator before exiting into the parking garage.

Gonna chain myself to one the trees standing between the two landings and demand before they cut them down to change the concrete on the street crossing areas.

Especially the area that crosses the tracks and as you come through the gates.

Get a little rain on it and it is slicker than chiggen grease on Tiger Lane after the SHC.

I still can't figure out how to do / where do you get TPB gifs.

Decent.

The last thing they do is put a slick proof coating on concrete.

Well the coating is slick as eff.

I have gone down at least 20 times walking the outer perimeter sidewalk of campus and crossing at the eastern most gate.

The first step is a doozy.

Not just the RR track cross area but some of the repaired sections of sidewalk/crosswalk ion other areas as well.

We were told at orientation (yes Memphis Blazer has a son starting at The University of Memphis 04-jawdrop ) that the pedestrian bridge and deck should be finished late 2019 or early 2020.

I'm glad the students have something. I wouldn't have built this thing, but I'm sure it will get used.
