I'm guessing that WKU lost some key players to graduation. WKU was much better than the rest of the conference last year and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament. They were 13-1 in conference last year and won 10 of those matches 3-0. The preseason poll suggests that the conference should be more competitive this season.
