I feel like NIU is just not recruiting the offensive talent it used to. Not sure how much longer defense can carry a team. But my statement above also in relation to rest of the MAC, this was a down year for the conference. NIU got some breaks also, like at EMU. Stars seem to align for them this year, but I don't feel great after this year. Point is, enjoy this one!

I don't know, our O line is tremendous, and our WR's, RB's agree good, TE seems to be good. Our only question was QB, and I think he is improving every week, hopefully that continues and I believe it will. I can see them having a let down against Miami Ohio, but the team has been ready every game, so most likely they are a GO! I think this team should be better next year. Come on MD, a little positive goes a long way. Huskies are going to finish strong, and battle with Buffalo. Win a bowl game......? Who knows, maybe lol....

I’ve been picturing a 3 loss NIU vs a ranked buffalo team in the MACC. Sounds good doesn’t it

Yea, but injuries can happen, especially at QB. Ball State's QB is out (at least I think he's still out), EMU's QB Glass is out, Toledo's Guadagni is out and WMU's Wassink is out. Akron's QB is out also. It's a perilous position to play, apparently.

I don’t think Childers is exactly irreplaceable....lol

I honestly think there will still be an open competition this offseason regardless if we lose out or win out the rest of the season. Unless Childers flips a switch and starts throwing for 200 + and rushing for close to 100 each game

If they bring back the same group, I would just give him all the reps and hope he gets better.

I would be exploring the grad transfer market, though.

There should be a competition but QB competitions under this coach are cluster effs to the nth power
