I was at this game and it was unbelievable. Despite losing both games Brian was tournament MVP. He averaged 30+ points & 20+ rebounds in the tourny.

The only guy in college who could hang with David Robinson. Rowsom was drafted in the 2nd round, and was as serious candidate for being a first round selection.

It really goes to show how under rated players of past eras can be. If he had the benefit of today's strength training programs, imagine how good he would be?

In Rowsom's first game against Robinson, as a freshman, the Admiral blocked 6 or 8 of his shots. But Robinson was very encouraging to him. He told to continue to play the way he was playing and he was going to be a special player.

I listened to that game on the radio and was screaming in my car during that comeback. My buddies all listened to the game and were really stoked regardless because IU was like #2 in the nation and eventually won it all that year. That was a good team!
