Cacok/Rowsom/Fish/Rendleman would be quite the 2 Deep Front Court once Tae's time here at UNCW is done. I'm going to relish every bit of watching him play this year. I sure hope he stays out of foul trouble so he can maximize his time on the court. Cool idea here 70s.

Cacok is definitely in line to bump Danny Davis down to my 2nd team, and then Shawn Williams down to the Almost Squad.

You are putting a guy that played here 2 seasons in the top 10? LOL
If you wanted to do a top 10 clutch, i'd have a heard time leaving him off.

Ingram was a stone cold assassin. No way on earth we go to the NCAA's twice in a row without him. I really liked Flemmings, but he seemed to disappear during big games. Based on NCAA appearances and CAA championships, he had two of each in only two years. Yes, I put him in the top 10 all time.

Loved his game, and he was a threat as soon as he crossed half court, I'm sure i'm biased based on many pick up games with him in Hanover. But he was the guy I feared the most to score.

Flemmings had 18 points in both NCAA tournament games, and from what I can remember was the best player on the court in the 2016 CAA Tournament. That Duke game he played great, and literally guarded Brandon Ingram the whole game. That is some harsh criticism there.

Agree. And if a 2 year player(at our level) could legitimately crack a top 10, we'd have a really weak history

RE: All-Time UNCW Men's Basketball Team
No love for Tim Burnette? REALLY? A tremendous 2 way player period. He dominated both sides of the court. CC was awesome too and needs some love. Solo did a good job. Cacok is an all time 1st teamer. Fields was good, but I liked Cooper on that team. The Martin twins were good too and Wolf was solid. That was a good team too.
Best team was 2002 team period. Brett, Timmy,Williams, AT and CC is SICK! AC off the bench as well as Hare who dunked over 3 guys in the NCAA win in OT. If Timmy plays in the 2003 NCAA's, that team goes DEEP. They were blowing out teams in the CAA tourney that year, in a good CAA and unluckily lost in the NCAA's on a buzzer beater without Timmy.

I forgot about AT. That man was a beast!
I wouldn't put Burnette in my top 10 for the very reason you listed. He didn't play in that game and his absence could have very well cost us a win. Top 10 players don't do dumb things that cause them to miss once in a lifetime opportunities.

Since I only started following the program in the early 2000s, its hard for me to put a team like this together. But I'd have to put Cacok on the first team and Rendleman on the 2nd team, or, a 3rd team if we could include that.
TJ Carter has to make it too. He and Denzel Ingram were the 2 most clutch players I've seen in a Hawk uniform. Pure ice water in their veins.

Blizzard was pretty clutch too my man. Look at who stepped up in OT in the NCAA win against USC. He closed the deal on Drexel late in the CAA final with that 3 ball. Hit got hot against the Terps late in that NCAA game. TJ was clutch though. He came through big.

I don't think anyone can debate that, he's the all time scoring leader for a reason. Carter also has enough of a sample size that's deserving of the accolades as well. But when you are talking a two year player(Ingram), even though he was undeniably clutch, It's hard to put him on an all time list IMO.

A four year player should get the nod over a one/two year guy. To me, Denny Fields would be in the running had it not been for the fact that he only played for a year and a half. Think about it - 969 points in three semesters.

I'm surprised nobody said Chad Tomko, who's third in career points.
It can be hard to evaluate transfers. Gary Neal played three semesters for Towson. As a senior, he scored 810 points, which is second in CAA history behind David Robinson's 903 in 1986-1987. Then Jerrelle Benimon played two seasons at Towson and is the only forward to win CAA Player of the Year twice since the northern teams joined.
