Yep that is why i said not an apples to apples comparison. If wilder tanks this program for the next 3 years what do you think is the difference between the guys i have mentioned and Bobby? I understand the FCS level success but you can't carry that flag longer than it already has been.

Not that i wouldnt revisit Wilders job status if he “tanked for 3 years,” but the difference would be Wilder has actually had success.

Yes he had success at FCS and no one is even refuting that heck we would've been to a bowl had the stupid rules of transition were not in place. Anyways coming back to the topic of letting him go if we end up having consecutive losing seasons is hypothetical and folks who are thinking he will still be here no matter how bad he does over the next three seasons have either stepped out of reality or don't want to believe it. Again i don't have anything against wilder and i honestly believe he isn't going to take us to the next level but that's just me. You can believe all you want and i am not stopping anyone from it.

He has also had success at the FBS level, or are you suggesting that a 10-3 record with a bowl win is not successful?

Nope i am not suggesting that. 1 out of 3 might mean something but that is not what i call success.

Everyone can see crowds at the stadium are less at this level than at FCS. 1/3 because of no knowledge of the teams we play, 1/3 based on lack of amenities at current stadium and 1/3 based on winning fewer football games. At least that's my opinion.

I’m willing to give Wilder the benefit of the doubt because he built a program FROM SCRATCH!

But with that said, it’s not a blank check. At some point recruiting has to improve although this stadium debacle can’t be helping much.

I like Bobby and I think he earned his job here and paid his dues which is again why I’m willing to give him more time to turn things around.

It would be great to see a quality player from PA commit to the Monarchs as a result of this camp. Go get em, Bobby!

If we fire Wilder, we should hire JMUs coach. We will be more successful and piss off the Dookies is the process.

Real talk:
We need to have a break out year! End of discussion. We are four years into FBS play and we still look like we have no idea. Everyone talked about our 2016 year. Sure we went 10-3 because we beat bologna teams. We hung in last season against some of the better competition in our league, but still fell short. We are on the right track - if you look at last year's shortcomings. We even made VT fans a little uncomfortable too. Lack of Offense killed us literally in that game. So many opportunities dropped. The simple plays we dropped in Blacksburg last year drove me nuts!!!! We can hang with the Hokies in 2018!

If we bounce Liberty in Lynchburg, I think we will be fine in 2018 and make a bowl at the very least. If we struggle, it's gonna be a long year and Wilder needs to be axed! He seems like a nice guy, but if the nice guy ain't getting the job done, he needs to be replaced.

I think the idea is if we fire Wilder, we'd hire an FBS level coach to replace him.

Wilder. Is. Not. Going. Anywhere. Any. Time. Soon.

No insider knowledge, just my opinion.

"We are four years into FBS play and we still look like we have no idea . . . . We are on the right track . . . "

Which is it? Do we not have an idea how to play, or are we on the right track? ESL?
