I think FAU has as good a shot as Boise or UCF.

Due to schedules and hypothetical thinking: LA Tech or FAU. LA Tech will have MSU and LSU, not that they will be fantastic but they are both P5 and wins will carry weight. FAU has Oklahoma and UCF, and has a head start in the polling category riding off last year’s success. Tech and FAU both also play each other, and if their only loss is to the other during conference season, they’d rematch in the championship and play again- which would benefit rankings if both did very, very well up to that point.

We all have an equal chance. None.

I will change that if FAU beats Oklahoma, but I don't see it happening.

All we need is someone who scheduled mediocre to OK "power" teams to go undefeated. Then we will have a great chance.

That could be North Texas. We have an mediocre Arkansas team with a new head coach on our schedule... but we can't beat FAU. 03-banghead

I think Marshall has the best chance, as I have them going undefeated in conference play. It will come down to how good they can perform against South Carolina and NC State. Though I have them losing both of those games, if they can steal one and stay close in the other -- they have a chance.

Do you really think y'all can win all your games with J'Mar as QB? Y'all do have a good team other than him.

J'Mar Smith is C-USA's 3rd most productive returning QB. The other two are candidates for national awards. Smith has improved since the middle of last season and the Tech defense is going to be ridiculous now that they finally have a legit LB corp.

Sure, if he shows improvement. Im certainly interested to see where he’s at in year 2.

Yes but you only have one on your schedule, not sure that would cut it.

FAU, just ‘hope’ ANY team can crack the access Bowl. For the good of the conference.

Marshall has the best shot IMO. They have a ton of returning talent, and the defense will be great. Marshall's schedule is favorable, as they get South Carolina and FAU at home. To take it a step further, my money is on Louisiana Tech and Marshall in the CUSA Championship. This is Holtz's most experienced team. Both programs are loaded.

If Marshall beat NC State at home and accounts well at South Carolina, we’ll be in the NY6 hunt as the CUSA champ.

FAU at 13-0 would go to the playoff (not the access bowl). At 12-1 with a competitive loss to say OU, UCF, or the CUSA west champs, they would still be in decent shape for the Access bowl.

Now... how about a 14-0 Rice Owls with a win at LSU? Access bowl eligible and maybe more! We gotta beat prairie view first, though, #TrapGame.

A 13-0 FAU team only goes to the playoff if Oklahoma goes 12-1 and wins the Big 12. Truth is, if Oklahoma loses to FAU, they will probably lose to TCU and possibly Texas and West Virginia too.

Yeah for that to happen I think FAU would need more of its opponents to do well, like an 11-2 Tech, UNT, UAB and a well performing MTSU and Marshall.
