Sadly, Boz has had a pretty disastrous season. No idea what happened.
But at least he has a TD pass. Who was the last Owl to have one of those in the NFL? Donald Hollas maybe?

He's had 5 years in the league, counting his taxi squad year with the Texans. Unless your name is Morten Andersen or Sebastian Janikowski, that's pretty good.

Vance McDonald with a TD to put Pittsburgh up early 7-0 over New England in a huge game there (and Boz made the XP - he's got to be perfect today). McDonald already has career highs in receptions and yards this season, and just tied his career high with his 4th TD of the season.

Obviously, Travis Kelce is the premier tight end in the AFC this year, and I guess Ebron of Indy is #2. But McDonald might be #3 and have a chance to make the Pro Bowl. His numbers are actually better than Gronkowski (who has missed some games due to injury).

Boswell misses a 32 yd chip shot that would’ve put the Steelers up two scores.

That missed FG came immediately after McDonald JUST missed a TD catch, with half of one foot out of bounds. Ugh..

Well Boswell made a 48-yarder later and Pittsburgh ended up winning 17-10. But I don't know - I could still see him cut this week.

The 48 yard FG make was a clutch kick, and afterwards Tomlin says he's sticking with Boswell. Surprised he's stuck with him this entire time. Boswell has been almost Chuck Knoblouch-ish with his mental block. Will make Tomlin look good or bad, could decide the season for Steelers.

McDonald only 2 catches, but they were huge ones - the TD on 3rd and goal in the first drive, and the tough catch for a conversion on 3rd down in the Steeler's final drive which allowed them to get out of deep Pat's territory and eventually ran the clock and kicked the FG. He also had the impressive catch/near TD, where his foot barely touched the line.

Guessing what NFL teams will do with a kicker is so hard to do. Since they signed Boz to a good contract to start the year, my guess is they're gonna give him a little slack. I also think that it's likely run out, and he needs to be darn near perfect the rest of the year.

Boz was kicking at a historically accurate rate, prior to this year. So I wonder if the Steelers are more lenient because of that.

According to this they are keeping him around, although I sure hope he keeps kicking like that last FG he made:
