Figured I'd start this annual thread with Andrew Sendejo making a little news:

Not sure what to think about his hat. I think the NFL is right to want to reduce head injuries but I think the new helmet rule is confusing and will be near impossible to implement in a very satisfying way.

So, to rosters...
Boswell (Steelers)
Callahan (Bears)
Covington (Texans)
Ellerbee (Falcons)
Gaines (Bills)
McDonald (Steelers)
Sendejo (Vikings)
Taylor (Broncos)
Willson (Lions)
Womac (Rams)

I guess all but Ellerbee, Gaines, Taylor and Womac are locks, and reports are that Ellerbee and Gaines are playing really well. Taylor is hurt and will likely start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, which means he can't practice until Week 6 at the earliest. He also may be a victim of the Broncos draft (they took two WRs) but hopefully we'll see him on the active roster at some point. Tough break. Can't find anything about Womac yet.

Amazing that the Texans had him in camp to compete vs Randy Bullock, who was just not good and didn't keep Boswell. Can't remember MK's nickname for Bullock, but it was hilarious. Bullock was another one of those gawd awful Rick Smith draft choices and managed to be the first kicker to miss the then new longer extra point.

Congrats to the Boz, one of the great Rice Owls......

Ellerbee was cut by the Falcons yesterday but picked up on waivers by the Chargers today. I'm not sure what that means in terms of roster semantics - it might mean he's automatically on the practice squad (which will certainly mean a healthy weekly paycheck for him in 2018?).

Ellerbee will be on the active roster.

Doubt he’ll be on the 45 man this week but you never know!

What I saw of Womac on TV, he did not look like NFL material. Pushed around pretty easy.

He didn't make the 53 man roster.

Covington down vs the Patriots. Down for about a minute then helped to the bench

Covington listed as questionable with a Thigh Injury

Boswell misses a 42 yard FG in OT that would have won the game.

Near end of OT and it's still 21 -21
