2 Years Since Campus Carry Law Enacted, College Says Carrying Guns Makes 'Safer Place
Quote:The state of Texas has held a campus carry law for two years now, and police at Texas Tech University said they feel it really does make the campus safer.

“I believe it makes the campus a safer place, to live, learn and educate,” Texas Tech Police Department Lt. Amy Ivey told KAMC.

Campus police believe the policy actually keeps active shooters away from the university and that if there ever is a case of an active shooter, someone might be able to stop the shooter if they are armed.

Students, staff, and faculty are required to go through active shooter training, such as how to barricade doors, how to go hands-on with weapons, and how to stop a bleed.

“I do feel safe knowing that there are people that will act upon,” Texas Tech student Cody Wheeler told KAMC. “If they have their concealed carry, and they see something going, they'll feel the need to go step in.”

Obviously school administration has no control over what comes out of the mouths of campus police. Otherwise, they'd have to toe the liberal agenda line.

They "feel" and "believe". Any actual evidence or crime stats?

Hey, coming from the left, thoughts and feelings are all that matters, right?

I self-identify as this, science be damned!
