What parts of your teams are you most excited about?

For Troy

Defensive Line - Maybe the most talented part of the team. 1st Team ALL SBC pass rusher (Bandit position) returns in Hunter Reese. Highly talented Zo Bridges (0.8451) backs him up. On the other side at defensive end we have Ole Miss Transfer Rasool Clemons (0.8715) and his back up is Kelvin Lucky (0.8498). In the middle at DT is 1st Team All SBC Trevon Sanders. Several other guys have experience on the defensive line. We have a 1st team linebacker in Tron Folson as well, so the front 6 should be rockin'.

Return Game - This is insane. We have an All-American returner in Marcus Jones from last year, another All-American returner in Jabir Frye who sat out last year but took several to the house in 2016, and we have Louisville transfer Treveon Samuel who returned kicks there and had a 100 yard return vs Clemson.

Defense at Troy is stacked


I’m VERY interested to see Troy’s special teams. Marcus Jones is a beast. Plus having Frye back.

OL gonna be better than last year to boot.

4 of 5 starting OL return, along with the most talent we've had at WR and RB in a while.

Troy could have one of the best if not the best special teams in the nation.

Has Troy found a kicker? I know last year that was a problem.

For TXST:

Defense: Linebacker
Easily Linebacker. We may or may not be a bad team again this year, but we should be legitimately good at Linebacker. Bryan London, Frankie Griffin, and Hal Vinson are poised for big years and we have a lot of depth behind them.

Offense: Offensive Line
Tough call but I'll go with the OL just because I think they have a chance to at least be decent this year as opposed to the past couple seasons. If they suck again, our offense will likely suck again, but if the OL can improve significantly we should have the talent at the skill positions to have a decent offense. We seem set at tackle and center, but need to figure the guard spots out and find quality depth. Going to be really important we stay healthy on the OL. Injuries there could derail the season.

Linebackers for the same reason _x_ said.

WR because we have some big guys coming in that I think will turn some heads this year.

QB because we probably have the best pure athlete in the conference at the position.

He was rough during the beginning..He got better as season went along...

Had he not kicked that field goal with 2 seconds left at half to go up 10-0 on LSU we might not have won.

QB- Is it "cant touch this" Ellington or "cannon-arm" Walker?

offensive line- I keep hearing about how our OL bulked up tremendously. CSE spent 99% of his offseason with the OL group. In interviews, Elliott drools about his OL. Ill buy it and expect big things from them this year.

I think the defensive front and the defensive secondary are both going to be great, with the latter depending on how well we pick up the 3-4 scheme.

Logan Hunt is the guy getting all the pre-season conference preseason accolades on th eline, but his position isn't secure between Raymond Johnson, Quin Williams, and CJ Wright coming in. Johnson and Williams are both NFL-sized DE's with ability.

Wide Receivers: We have Thomas Hennigan (45 receptions for 585 yards and 7 TDs), Jalen Virgil (20 receptions for 364 yards and 3 TDs), our TEs who combined for 7 TDs, and two new transfers from Kansas State, including a former Honorable Mention All Big 12 player. A couple highly touted guys are returning from injury as well, including Mock Adams. Satterfield said it was probably his best group since he's came back, including the 2013 corps that had 4 guys who signed NFL contracts, in addition to Sean Price.

The unit of measurement known as the score. I am excited to see whether or not our unit is greater than the unit of our opponent.

I know we doubled Troy in yards and choked in our game last year. No way in HELL Troy WRs can touch stAte's. Book it.
