Just replace the helmets with Football ones.

But seriously, Our primary color is blue, theirs is red. Our brand is centered around blue and theirs is red. Given that they are vastly different and impossible to confuse on the field, we should both wear our primary colors.

Rice needs to build brand identity. IMO, white uniforms do not do that. As is the media is covering this like

As of a few years back, UCLA and SC once again started wearing their home unis for the crosstown rivalry (as they did when both teams played at the Coliseum). It looks pretty killer:

Yes, it's a great look, and they got the NCAA to change the rule on this. Teams still have to ask their conferences beforehand, but the rule now allows simply "contrasting colors". Great story: Pete Carroll decided to do this first (in 2008, I think) as the visiting team, and USC was docked one timeout. UCLA HC Rick Neuheisel immediately called a timeout to level the playing field. Following year the rule was changed.

That's good progress. It's still like pulling teeth with the football team though.

I like these much better than the Georgetown knockoffs from a while back.

The worst ones were the black uniforms we wore some 8 years ago (?). Positively ghastly.

Very encouraging to see us make changes that positively impact our brand presence and awareness.

It looks like the uniforms for Saturday have been announced. The blue helmet and blue belt will be incorporated into the solid whites from the Hawaii game. I hope it helps. I commented on Facebook last week that we looked like we were playing in our underwear in Hawaii. Maybe it did some good.

Two and a half cheers from this corner; I'm definitely Team Gray but I could have done without the basketball-net shoulder patches. A uniform that redundantly references the sport the wearer is already playing is like nails on a chalkboard for me!

Last week's road uniforms were nice. On Saturday we wear a white helmet, blue jersey, and white pants.
