I don't think we are going to start landing top 150 guys from the state of Ohio if OSU fires Meyer, but we might be able to catch a transfer or two we wouldn't have had otherwise if players start abandoning ship.
Even if Meyer gets let go, players aren't going to abandon ship. If anything this will hurt the pipeline we've been getting with guys like Trout.
I think he gets through this, if he doesn't, 0% Fickell goes there. He failed his audition.

There is no pipeline. This will have no effect on UC get an occasional transfer from OSU. Most transfers don't have many options in the first place.

I think a lot of UC fans would like OSU to hire him as head coach. It's not just us smart westsiders.
How about Kerry Coombs at OSU, and Urban Meyer at UC? That would be great for our game against OSU in 2019.

I suspect Urban is finished @ OSU given what has transpired. I won't be surprised if he lays low for awhile and re-emerges to succeed Marvin Lewis with the Bengals after another uninspiring season passes for the men wearing orange and black. He has the kind of "Ohio" pedigree the Brown family would covet. And that change could fill a lot of empty seats @ PBS.

Kyle Trout, Torrance Gibson (although that failed, because he's a jabroni), almost Joe Burrow.
I'd say that's a pretty significant effect. Trout is likely a starter this year.

You forgot Schmidt, who was a washout that quit. Gibson was a headcase who couldn't seem to bother going to class at Cincinnati State and never really enrolled at UC, and far as Burrows goes, close don't count. A grand total of one player on the current roster. Not exactly a pipeline, more like a pipette.
In the past we've had tO$U transfers like Longo, Richard Hall, and Brandon Underwood long before Fickell ever showed his face on campus.

RE: Goodbye Fickell?
If anyone caught Mo Egger's show today, he did a whole segment about how UC fans shouldn't be doing the happy dance today. He argued whether Fickell should be questioned on what did he know, when did he know it, and why didn't he do anything about it? Apparently the victim claims not only did Meyer's wife know, but all of the assistant coaches wives knew she was getting beat on a regular basis.
Mo also had a writer from Columbus on. The writer said the word going around is that Meyer is going to be let go. He also said Zach Smith was pretty much a douche bag and everyone knew it, but Meyer hired and kept him on the staff because he is Earl Bruce's grandson, and Meyer was deeply loyal to Bruce for giving Meyer his start in coaching. Now he is going to be his downfall.

I think it's fair to ask what Fickell knew since he was on that staff. However he wasn't Smith's supervisor so I don't think there's any way his employment should be in jeopardy.

The real B1G/ACC challenge is about scandals.
O$U, Perv St. and Michigan St. v. UNCheat, School 6, The U, the Boeheim school of business, BC's goodfellas and Free Shoes U.
Am I forgetting anyone?

Not sure if it's worthy of addition, but Bob Knight Choke-gate?
EDIT: Along with Woody Hayes, Bob Knight, the Fab Five and Illinois Basketball teams, and this newest allegation with Zach Smith, the Big Ten really should be rebranded as the conference of chokers.

Wasn't IU's previous football coach forced out a year or so ago because of player mistreatment? And then landed on Urban's staff @ OSU? Truth is stranger than fiction.

Yep, and Illinois' former football coach Tim Beckman was also forced out due to player mistreatment as well.

I think the B1G is winning easily as their scandals are all some serious crap.
The ACC's scandals are all just good, clean, fun cheating.

That isn't even bringing in the OSU basketball fiasco of the 90's that got them probation and reductions for like 5 years and the Rutgers basketball stuff (also player abuse)...it's insane how much B1G schools have been involved in over the last two decades.
