Just because there's no social net doesn't mean welfare isn't going around. Welfare takes many different forms. In the third world it's typically land grants, resource grants, government positions, and military positions.

If they meet the conditions I described above they should be able to toss their hat in the expedited list. This is more than any administration from any party has done for them so far.

Expedited citizenship to any South African farmer who has a proven track record of land management. We'll even throw in 10-20 acres in the plains.

Australia has already offered that. Many South African farmers have taken it up.

South African farmers are prized help on the plains, but all the land is spoken for. What used to be 160 or 320 acres, now you would need 10 times or more that to make a living. Most American Plains farmers are enormously wealthy on paper, but can’t scrape together two dimes because their equipment and land prices have gone through the roof. One or two bad crops, and most would be done for.

South African (Afrikaans) farmers are what allowed the tribal population to grow overwhelmingly over the past 150 years without starvation taking its toll. Tribal or British farmers produce a relative pittance in food supply.

The Afrikaans are the target of history and because of their huge success in agriculture. The Afrikaans name for farmer is Boer (the Dutch name is not that different from the German name Bauer), which is what Afrikaans are referred to as. Agriculture is so steeped in the Boer culture as they made fruitful the South African countryside.

A popular slogan among tribal people at political gatherings now is “Kill the Boer”, which is actually happening.

South African President Jacob Zumba has had rallies with a “Kill the Boer” song led by him.
