Once screenshots of the texts come out showing that other coaches, their spouses, and Urban knew he'll be gone. Probably resign.

They can prove his wife knew but without being able to prove HE knew I think the keeps his job.

Only I would add that I'm suspicious that given the other issues at Ohio State pertaining to the rape claims of athletes in other sports that the University could pull the ploy of firing the A.D., and reprimanding Meyer. Right now the A.D. would make one helluva convenient scapegoat.

Is it worse than the tattoo scandal? I guess Tressel technically resigned, but you know what I'm getting at.

Based on precedent a firing seems likely

Tressel was forced to resign by the University after they discovered the tattoo scandal went all the way back to 2002. They'll do the same to Urban if the allegations that he's known about Smith's abuse for 3 years are proven true.
