Third practice field
Have they eliminated the third practice field? I just saw the design for the beach volleyball courts on Twitter that had a tree lined park on the field location

RE: Third practice field
Not sure. I thought the 3rd field was going on the other side of the existing 2 fields.

The volleyball courts are beside the Intermural fields. The natural grass practice field is going where the old football office is located

I was going to ask about that. Thought the field would have already been installed and the old football office gone.

Just a heads up... pay your Football, Bowling, and Rifle Pledge if you have not already done so.

This. If you made a pledge, please follow through and make the payments.

It seems as though the donut master is delaying the tear down of the old building.

Wasn't it initially going to be at the South end of the football complex by University Blvd? I thought that was why the grass field was only going to be 80 yards.

Hopefully now it can be a full field.

The old master plan showed it there. It was moved when the FOB plan was re-drawn by the design team for the project.

No comment on doughnut.

Years ago when I was in research at UAB our first rule was "never give up floor space willingly". If HCBC wants to get into the sports performance research business I'd keep the building and refurb it to accommodate the beginnings of a program. It's a heck of a lot cheaper and politically easier to get it started if you can say "hey we've got this space let's use it for _____"

Interesting observation and maybe a viable idea going forward???

In my mind, yes. But it would take someone who can bring the different stakeholders to the table for a common vision. And crazy enough to pull it off. When you think about bringing all the different disciplines together like that the possibilities are endless but so are the landmines

For good reason, In time. The players and coaches seem to be happy with what they have, Theirs all kind of land marks right their holding the ground. . Its a proportional ratio. Cant move to much ground at one time. Let it settle in, don't want to wipe em just yet. Would Start working on Basketball and Baseball.
