This statement stood out to me:

"No one else knows what exactly was said between the two sides, but one thing’s for sure: Hardaway is starting a recruiting war, and Calipari doesn’t lose those often."

If Hardaway's early success is any indication, Cal should probably prepare himself to start losing. If Penny's coaching matches his recruiting, Calipari won't every pull another recruit from the Memphis area.

As soon as I saw that DJ had decommitted from KY I was very confident he was Memphis bound. Then I saw Memphisike say the word on the street jinx and Kansas popped into my head.
