We're are going in the right direction.

Night Owl - I am an old lurker but avid Owl fan(read Neely-era). I have always treasured your posts and find these refreshing and very, very positive as to the direction the program will be heading in the next few years. I also find it positive that you have remained loyal to your alma mater despite the up and mostly downs over the past 50+ years. I hope that your children have the opportunity to attend Rice and continue that relationship.

Thank you for the uplifting words. I just speak the truth as much as I can. As for my boys we'll see what's up here pretty soon. What I do know is now Rice is on MY list of acceptable schools for them. I have to see that you care about your program as much as you are going to want my kids to care about it. Because of that last sentence THAT'S why I stay rooted in Rice because I do love my school. If you want my kids loyalty I need to see your school is worthy of it.

Since my understanding was that it was originally only partly completed (kind of the Rice athletics traditional do-it-half-assed way), it would only make sense that some additions to improve it would be made.
