Apparently Sheryl Swoopes wanted the job as well. I kinda wish we would have went that route. Would have had a Dan Majerle effect on the womens team.

Swoopes would have got us some favorable attention and recruiting.
But I can see why they went the way they did. Some of our best ever coaches (Todd Lowery for Volleyball and Bob Hoffman for MBB) were high-performing D-II coaches. It's a strategy that seems to work for us.

Apparently there will be a home game against UT Austin, which will be an interesting test. Looks like the Bert Ogden Arena (assuming the game is there) is having a good effect on the schedule.
