I'll say that I have every confidence in Mike Hill. Having Lambert this year is totally worth removing Judy Rose from the process of hiring his replacement.

You can bury your head in the sand and pretend that the poster is oblivious to why you got a response. But, just as you felt the need to respond it is the reality of the boards. However the fact is after I responded to the referenced post, in which we were asked "how ODU would do in football this year", well I did offer to delete the post. I was sent a Private Message and told it was OK. I have stayed away until the slur about those in Norfolk and the reading comprehension remark.

To be truthful I have no interest in Charlotte except for when we play them, and I hope, as I do with every opponent that we kick their hind parts and are the victors. But the realty is Charlotte has slowly disappeared off ODU's radar and I think most would argue that we do not considered Charlotte a rival for ODU at this time. Football ODU 3 - Charlotte 0 Basketball last year 1st game ODU crushed Charlotte 89-58, 2nd game ODU 88-66 Basketball All time Charlotte has ONLY a .389% winning average against ODU . ODU has won 22 of the 35 games played.

So to stay on topic "Charlotte". No disrespect but Charlotte has a long way to go and I'm not sure if this year will be any break out season for them. I think they may win one game. If that is what it takes to turn the program around and get a new Coach, as you have clearly expressed...good luck. I would like to see Charlotte become more competitive, because it is good for the Conference. I wish you the best except when you play ODU.

Did you attend William and Mary? I have always been a fan of W&M. It is the only college outside of the state of Texas I even considered.

It's a thread created to talk about Charlotte's schedule. If you want to talk Charlotte vs ODU, have at it. Otherwise, create a "Schedule Breakdown: ODU" thread and have your little circle jerk there.

Charlotte is definitely better than W&M. Maybe not in football or basketball at the moment and not academics but better. At least in my eyes.

Side Show Joe, Thanks for your sincerity and your understand how this all played out. I'm not mad at anyone. I do feel Moss is completely oblivious to what happen and needs to realize we our all in the same Conference.

Your respectful reply you sent me was a welcome example of how we should treat our Conference mats. Again Thanks for your active and insightful participation on the CUSA Boards. You are always welcome on the ODU boards.

Will Jimmy Johns be handing out subs on the way out of the stadium like they did when ODU last played in Charlotte? That was pretty awesome. Bojangles in the stadium and subs as you walk back to your car. Color me impressed!

L- @MT (It won't even be close)

L- @Tennessee (An ugly loss for C-USA)
L- @Marshall (Marshall will be contending for the division title, it will get ugly)
L- FIU (FIU is improving, the game won't be as close as last year)
L- @FAU (FAU might have to call off their backups)

I just can't see Lambert surviving at Charlotte. They need an FBS caliber coach.

Bonus Question: After this season, who should Charlotte target to be their next coach?

We will beat Charlotte, but, for some reason, they are a much tougher out for us than they should be. This will be something like 31-17

Capel inherited a 20 win team, Fox an 8 win team under probation after Capel brought UNc-CH attitude towards academics. Stick to predicting things like Marshall will never sign and home and home with App. See you soon.

I saw the game at ODU last year. I hope that ODU improves a lot because that was a terrible game between two awful football teams.
Like it or not, you are down in the mire with us.

As a fan, that game was frustrating for us. It was as if Wilder knew Charlotte could not score on our defense so he just completely shut the offense down. While the score was 6-0, ODU also had a 2:1 TOP advantage and 12 more first downs. It was more lopsided than the score indicated.

I don't intend to diss Charlotte, but ODU is a tier above them at theis point. I can see the game next year being a "trap" game, but if ODU shows up motivated (maybe depends on how they play vs. FIU), they should win.
