Companies don't offer free food to employees to be nice. There is a financial incentive to provide the free food for a couple of reasons. One being it's a pretty good benefit when it comes to recruiting employees and two it keeps employees onsite. Keeping employees onsite increases productivity, etc.

I love elected West Coast liberals. They choose to lock themselves into the most implausible and indefensible positions imaginable then push all their chips into the center of the table and dare anyone to call their bluff.

It will get passed and then repealed like the tax in Seattle.

Its clearly unconstitutional. Its one thing to prevent food preparation places. Its another entirely to regulate prices.

Fed Ex used to have an op center down by Memphis Int'l and i'm sure they still do. Went in there once to look at a construction renovation project to quote. Had a huge wall showing the status of every FE flight in the world at that given time, TVs on every cable network to monitor anything around the world that might impact their flights, and their own meteorology dept monitoring the weather around the world. It had an onsite cafeteria, but the entirety of the place was pretty neat.

These lunatics are just DETERMINED to kill their golden goose. Other than holly weird and Ag, this is pretty much the only thing they got going on, other than used syringes and 10,000’s complaints of piles of human excrement per week.

Exactly as you described, Global Operations Control Center, but the food is NOT free.
