Final 247 2018 Basketball Rankings
Bassey comes in at #9 nationally and Blanton comes in at #101. I only see one other CUSA school that has a player ranked in the top 247 players nationally for class of 2018.

Looks like there is an error where it ranks unrated Ochieng for UTEP. That should be Akabueze for UAB;

We get it. If Bassey plays for WKU you're going to win the league. You don't have to post a new thread every week bragging about it. 05-stirthepot

I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in these rankings unless I was Duke, Kentucky or Vandy to begin with. Nice to have Bassey in BG for sure but I would not be surprised if Galen Smith turns out to be a star and he has 0 stars. The Toppers will be loaded this fall compared to 2017 which is good for CUSA.

But the NCAA won't just skip over them like they do UK, UNC or Duke

I’m hearing the Smith bandwagon is getting bigger every day. Look forward to seeing him

I like seeing C-USA schools pull big recruits and be successful. May the rest of us step up and improve our game also.

Just a note that UTEP's Kaosi Ezeagu played in a the Canadian Shootout all star game with RJ Barrett. Ezeagu was on the blue team opposite Barrett. The blue team won the game and Ezeagu was named the team MVP. Ezeagu was 10-12 from the free throw line and had 27 points

Nigel Hawkins is also a kid that 247 is dismissing. They have him as #28 in Texas while Texashoops.com has him at #15. He was the MVP of the state tournament his junior year.

Look for UTEP to jump to the middle of the conference this year. We have 4 transfers sitting out this year that will make practices a war. UTEP is building for winning the conference in the 19-20 season.

Not bragging, simply final list of recruiting rankings for 2018 haha...Football people start threads of signing a 3 star recruit, I think you will be ok....

Well. At MT, our coaching philosophy is to recruit 2 Stars, or no Stars (for all our men's sports). Then, we just "Coach 'em up!" It's more exciting that way. And we save a ton of money in our "off the books" recruiting budget. Reckon how much money Western has spent in their "off the books recruiting" budget"

03-shhhh let everyone pick us last since that’s where we finished and everyone tends to finish in the same spot they did the previous season.
