Hopefully they have a team issued golf bag that sells for under ten bills or whatever outrageous price the one and only golf bag sold for during the victor e ball.

The Victor E. Ball is a fund raising event, so overbids are welcome! The garage sale is better for bargain hunting.

Gear sale and family fun day August 4
Went to the gear sale. Nicely done! They had lots of tables and racks of stuff - new and game-used. I got home and away football jerseys, home and away basketball jerseys, and a great football sideline jacket. Things were reasonably priced. All jerseys were $25.

A word of warning: They're doing road construction on I-88. Down to one lane from Naperville to DeKalb and back. This will not be pretty when school starts, assuming they are not finished.

What no cheerleader skirts! 03-rotfl

88 is indeed a mess, as is half of the other roads I drive in Illinois. Last I heard they were suppose to be done by the time school starts though.

Agreed. Hope they do this every year. Bought a couple of shirts and a pair of warm up pants that I don't think were ever worn. Each was $5.

Anyone with size 14-16 shoes needs to get out there. Never seen a rack of shoes where the smallest size basically started at 12 LoL

I had a big wad (of cash) ready for a pile of cheerleader garments, but there was none to be had. A disappointment, indeed, but maybe I can just order some. As with everything else, it can be yours for a big enough wad.

Didn't get there til 3, most shirts/shorts gone I guess outside of soccer. Liked the baseball jersesys but no xxl/52.

Saw at least 3 people with duffle bags full of merchandise.

One guy had at least 37 shirts (they counted at least that many I heard @ register) many of which looked new, decent. Some golf shirts. Bunch of jerseys too. His total was $525. Not sure if his next stop was for resale or that was XMAS for the whole family.

Some of those shoes were really nice. Guessing 10-11 is most common size as the had plenty smaller and larger.

Wish I had gotten their earlier.

Probably the next stop for the mega shoppers is eBay.

Did anyone get an email on the gear sale? I didn't. The only way I knew about it was on this thread. Like many others, I don't check niuhuskies.com every day.

Hopefully in the future they will sell some of this online so those of us who live far away can purchase.

I don't look at the flyers there. I know what I want and I go right to it. They really screw me up, however, when they move the multi-functional sex toys to another aisle.
