New Softball Coach
Not sure about this hire. Only college experience at two small, private religious schools. Plus, his college W/L record isn't that great. Would have hired someone from the previous staff that showed they could win.

RE: New Softball Coach
So, he was a lawyer and quit to become a college softball coach? Interesting career arc. At least he should be able to win any arguments with the refs.

RE: New Softball Coach
With UT facilities not sure how you could attract anyone to lead baseball or softball

Start building a real facility and then maybe a coach will come

At least the team isn’t changing behind vans in the parking lot ala Ball State a few years ago.

I think everyone will be surprised by Joe Abraham he was an elite travel coach with tons of connection for recruiting. Also a good fundamentals coach who has put in seven years at the DII level. May not be a former pro womens player or from a big time program but he is a nice fit.

UT is closing the Scott Park campus. Women's soccer is moving to the main campus this year. My sense is that the new baseball and softball field need to get built and ready to go by 2021. Isnt the land its going on home of some dorms that are torn down or being torn down?

There are a million lawyers who have a Law Degree, yet, never step foot into a Courtroom. Many CEOs, etc have Law Degrees. Many Journalists same thing. After having worked in The Criminal Justice System for over 28 years, some days I don't blame him for coaching softball. There are some days I wish I could coach softball. I wish him and his team much success.
GO ROCKETS..............

Nothing has been torn down. Both fields were included in a plan that looked at what could happen over 10 years. The soccer move is relatively cheap.
