I see Toews being the starter with Gasden and Brown fighting for backup minutes. Taylor and Fornes will play the 2/3. Cylla and Cacok as the front court. C.B. has already stated his intention to play Cylla as a stretch 4 to allow Cacok to work on the block one on one more this year.
I don't think Cylla has the outside shot to "stretch" the defense, where Elmore does. As much as Toews looks good on paper, I could never pencil in a freshman at PG without seeing him on the court against D1 talent. We'll see.

I generally feel the same, but it's not common to have a freshman that has had the opportunity to look good against D1 level talent like he has. I guess i have more of an issue with him being third on the depth chart as i find that hard to believe.

Understandable concern for Cylla. He definitely seems like more a slasher type player. I'm hesitant about Elmore just because I haven't seen much of him and he's coming off a pretty serious injury. Hard to not see Cylla starting, guy has had some monster games on the D1 level already and I can't see Taylor and Fornes losing their spot either.

I have Taylor, Fornes and Cylla starting in my projection.

The starting rotation will likely start out with PG:Toews/Gadsden/Brown,WG/WF:Taylor/Estime/Gary and Fornes/Sims at the other spot, PF Cylla/Elmore/O'Connell and C -Cacok/Kalina. Sims, Elmore and/or Estime could also start and/or at least play nice minutes. If others step up things can change like O'Connell, Gary and Kalina.

I understand that, but I don't quite get your logic about Taylor being a PG. Yes experience is great, but that's not his position. I'd rather have a Freshman playing that has the skill set for that position than someone that's playing it out of position. PG is too critical of a position to just being throwing someone in there that has played off the ball for his whole college career. Also, whether Cylla plays 3 or 4 he's gonna have to make a jump shot. Might as well slide him to the 4. Toews, Taylor, Fornes, Cylla, Cacok could very well be the most athletic/versatile starting 5 in the CAA.

I don' see Taylor at the 1 either. If he is our best option, it means we are going to flat out struggle to be .500 in conference. We need one or two of the newcomers ready to run point. I think both be getting a siginificant amount of minutes. If there is a significant drop off between either then it's going to be tough.
