The ECHL hockey team in Little Rock. I was always intending to attend a game down there, I hope another team will start up.

Not a good thing for the small pro sports scene in Arkansas.

For you hockey fans... maybe you'll have to come to NW Arkansas

It's been rumored big up here that Lowell/Rogers will get a hockey team from the CHL. The rumors erupted when it was announced KCC was building a 6000 seat arena in Lowell.

Bad about the RiverBlades though.

KCC I think is Killian Construction Company.

Rumor is that big SMS booster John Q. Hammons bought a minor league team and will move it here. He's on the Campaign for the 21st Century, and word is he wants to be part of NW Arkansas' progress.

Great to see some hockey fans on here. Yeah, I live in Jackson, and we lost the Bandits after this past season. The fair commission wouldn't work with the Bandits at all on scheduling, and since the coliseum is state property, they couldn't serve beer.

First hockey arena I've ever been to where I couldn't have a brew. Anyway, there is a group of fans heading up an effort to bring back the team for 2004-2005 as well as an effort to build a new arena OFF state property.
