BTW, it’s NMSU, not NMST.

Typically the two Achilles Heels NMSU has yearly are perimeter shooting (quantity, not percentage) and free-throw shooting (percentage, not quantity). NMSU is usually toward the bottom of the WAC in both categories. Case in point, Ivan Aurrecoechea shot 59.6% from the charity stripe in junior college. And, Johnny McCants shot 36.8% last season. Needless both players might be liabilities in late game situations when NMSU is holding on to a small lead.

Just a tad but NMSU will be good but all these WAC teams have a flaw that may be their undoing. I really like SU but they are the most hyped WAC team right now and we won't know if its justified or not till Feb/March
