No hoops city was millers team. BCL was Penny's.

When was the last time Penny actually coached BCL, though? How long has Day been coaching them?
Up until he was hired at Memphis?

Question or fact? I know it was his team, but was he coaching? I've been to Penny coached HS games, but I don't go to the AAU events. I thought there were TSSAA rules that prohibited HS coaches from coaching summer independent ball - so I assumed Penny hasn't been actually coaching for a few years now. I'm pretty sure Todd Day coached last year and this year.
It's been said that penny was always there giving advice and instruction. So yeah he was coaching.

Well, yeah. But he wasn't the coach. So it's sort of unfair to say their less than acceptable results this year are because of a coach change. Todd has been there all along. I mean, I love Penny and everything he's done the past few months. And I'm not a Day fan. But it's a stretch. I think most of the decline can be traced back to A-Lo.

Todd was taking instructions from Penny. Style of play, bringing in the talent etc. It was Penny's team. Day and the players would seek instruction from penny during timeouts even. And yes as I stated in a previous post this years decline was because of inexperienced guard play. Early in the summer they had trouble feeding wiseman, dandridge and Chandler. Other team guards were torching them.
