The Great Society or Divide
In the 60’s LBJ and America cast its lot in similar fashion. Not to say they equate but after all that was laid done by way of the GS, the last 8 years under Obama’s guidance ...

Is action like this actually helping?

What does it say about the effect of like actions under the Great Society and under the eight years of the Obama administration admin?

They spend $37,000 per year to keep them homeless because that’s about half the cost of incarceration and probably 6 times less that the cost of actual rehab.

San Franscisco is a nice place to visit for a few days, also OK if you can score a $200,000 plus tech job, but I wouldn’t want to be homeless there.

I don’t know a good long term solution. I’d go with early childhood care and good educational systems mostly, even then drugs and mental issues can get people, and then there are the 3-5% who are just dumb asses as any HS teacher can tell you.

Good luck. It’s easy to say ain’t that awful but trying to actually deal with it is a daunting task. And thankless.

Kazoo does a real good job. We are actually known as a good role model in the areas of poverty, mental illness, and homelessness.

California is slipping back into the ooze from which life first appeared, 2.5 Billion years ago. When you no longer have values to defend, this is what happens. This is the Democrat objective for all of America.

Wonder if we could trade the southern half of California to Mexico for the Yucatán peninsula?

Southern-half nothing, give them the whole state. As long as they inherit the Debt that goes with it-and all California politicians.
