According to this article, Robert Gates was pretty active on the Texas A&M sports message boards when he was president there in the early 2000s. Now that he is the W&M Chancellor and a class of 65 graduate, it's hard for me to believe that he has given up his sports message board posting habits. I've always enjoyed the participation of our various Chancellors on these boards.

I still remember Margaret Thatcher posting back in the 90's -- I think her username was "LadyTis4Tribe" or something like that. My favorite was her post saying that if Chuck Swenson didn't shape up, she'd "have his guts for garters."

Actually, as I remember it, she spelled it with an "n", not a "g"...
