Considering the rapidity in which you deemed *exactly* what Kushner, Trump Jr, and Trump thought relating to a series of meetings, or for Trump's illicit actions in (horrors) selling high rise suites, or for Trump's ties to the Mob, I find this quote pretty much apex predator level comedy gold......

It's going to be Harris. She's black. She's female. What else does the Identity Party need?

this thread is titled "horse race", and the race isn't over when they break from the gate.
When Joe loses his "electability mantle, she will be the one that many will turn to.
I still predict a Harris nomination. I don't hope for it. I would actually prefer Biden to Harris. But he is an old white man.

My first impression of Biden was when, as a kid on a class trip observing the proceedings in a Senate chamber, he sidetracked a substantive debate on something else to introduce a motion to extol the virtues of the University of Delaware football team, which had just won the I-AA national championship. Complete waste of taxpayer money from a politician who barely practiced as a lawyer for five years before beginning his multi-decade tenure as a professional welfare recipient, I mean, career politician.
Aside from that, I've never understood why people consider Biden electable, outside of his race and gender (which obviously are not to be discounted). The man is a walking gaffe and embarrassing soundbite machine (going on that way for decades), has little in the way of intellect, at least compared to some of his fellow candidates, and seems to be running a campaign that involves chasing whatever side of an issue primary voters support the most ("see guys, I'm electable!!"). He's extremely lucky Obama didn't kick him to the curb in 2012 (I believe the quote from him is "How many times is Biden going to say something stupid?"...we're still counting, Mr. President), but I have a feeling that, at some point early next year, Obama will privately demand for Joe to drop out, lest he sully Obama's legacy even further.

All of that is true. But how do you explain the fact that Donald Trump is in the White House then? After all, here's a president who out of the blue says he wants to buy Greenland (which isn't for sale by the way). Then a few days later, he says it's something he's considering but it's not at the top of the list. And then a day later, postpones a planned trip to Denmark because that country won't sell him Greenland. We have a 5 year old running the country. Why is it surprising a 13-year-old is leading the Democratic group of challengers?

RE: Democratic Presidential Horse Race thread
I am not sure when, how, or why buying Greenland came up, and whether or not it is Trump trolling for the gullible.
My first reaction was "how stupid". Then I started thinking. Isn't that the reaction a lot of people had about buying Alaska? Seward's icebox, it was called.
And the Louisiana Purchase.
Greenland is home to a strategic air base, and could be home to more.
Now comes the part that the liberals will hate: If global warming continues, more and more of Greenland will become arable land. maybe in 40 years, we would be glad to have it.
So, maybe a crazy idea, but not a totally crazy one.
