Congrats UNA on the FGCU win. The first one is always the hardest to get. I expect good things from y’all this year.

I hope your expectations are accurate... we still have a long way to go, but at least we are facing the right direction.

I think y’all will be competitive against the lower half of the conference and win a few games there I think y’all will win six games but be competitive in most games outside of NJIT, Liberty and Lipscomb.

“most games”

KSU, Stetson and FGCU will be the ones you can win. Jacksonville and UNF are very capable teams so I’m not surprised y’all got blown out on the road against them. When y’all play them at home it should be closer.

RE: 2018-19 ASun Basketball
So what’s the likelihood that, if both win until then Liberty 18-4 and Lipscomb 16-4, that game would be moved to ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU? Which would you think?

I would guess not. The ASun has a contract with ESPN+ so that may have something to do with it. I do know the ASun Tournament semifinals and finals are usually on ESPN 2 or U. But watch out for UNF... they seem pretty good.

Liberty needs to watch out for every team and maintain their focus . I’m hoping every team in the ASUN to develop and improve so that the conference can become one of the top focus points in our markets. Of course I want Liberty to be on top though lol

Gulf Coast is awful. No chemistry. To make matters worse RaySean Scott went down in the 1st half vs UNF with what appeared to be a serious knee injury. UNF was on last night and when they are they will score some points. Playing better D than in recent seasons. They go about 8/9 deep too.

With UNA getting the road win at Jacksonville, should I expect to see UNA ranked higher than FGCU and Jacksonville in the next ranking?

RE: 2018-19 ASun Basketball
1). I am very impressed with North Alabama’s early conference record. Well done for a first year D1 school thus far.

2) We need a 10th team so all A-Sun teams can play during conference season rather than having one sit out over the weekend.
