Brutal? I believe he can be as brutal as a situation calls for but nothing like we consider when discussing dictators past and present.

LOL so when did having rivals and critics be murdered become standard situational response? What the **** is the right eroding into. Have you all lost your minds?

It's got a catchy tune and you can dance to it. Oh wait, this isn't American Bandstand?

Putin isn't exactly defensible with the single exception being that perhaps the return of the Russian strongman is good for stability and a stable Russia, instead of a failed economically depressed cesspool with nuclear weapons, is good for the world as a whole.

A good point, but does this help when Russia sides with Iran and North Korea, both wanting to build their nuclear progress.

Putin runs a Chicago machine style “democracy” very well. Almost like Rahm Emmanuel or a certain Barack Obama or Chicago’s favorite daughter - Cankles. But the MSM would never make the comparison.

For clarity...Ive stated repeatedly that Putin is a thug and murder that can not be trusted. I still hold that stance.

I don't find that he's a dictator, but he is certainly illiberal and definitely pushing in that direction.
