Talking about getting a jump on everybody else..

Tells me Cochran, Hodgson and Windham or not leaning WMU. That's fine. By mid-August the dust will have settled and the early MM commits will be made and WMU hopefully will be holding out for those they really really want.

This spring paid larger dividends than what they were angling for last fall.

Quick story:

3 years ago Drake U liked this kid I know a lot. The kid had a number of offers but it was pretty all MM. In the kid's mind Drake was his #1 BUT to be fair and make the best choice he wanted to visit 2 other schools. One was in the Southern Conference.

Drake told him they wanted him to make an official on the last weekend of August. It didn't fit the family's schedule. Unbeknownst to the 1st kid, Drake brought in another kid on that date who had much less interest but was decent. He visited, was offered and accepted. The first kid called in to schedule the following week and Drake told him bye bye.

This kid accepted an offer at Wofford instead. The Drake coach resigned the following year. The kid who committed to Drake eventually transferred to Wright State and my guy sank the FT's at Chapel Hill last year (coming off red shirting his 2nd year with back surgery) to put the final nails in the coffin of the Tar Heels.

Patience is a virtue.

Hutchins now has 13 offers.
Glad to see Hawk trying for 3 & 4 stars.

Dunking aside, it’s overrated but Hawk really needs to get this kid.

Hey, you’ll be playing at home a couple times over your career. Akron and Kent are 2.5 hours. So folks will see you plenty. But here you get a chance to be far enough away to grow to be who you want to be but close enough too.

A chance to put your stamp on a program raising the bar. Playing name programs in name conferences who aren’t showing you respect and not sure you’re up to it.
