Very weak OOC schedule, but given the almost total lack of experience of this team, that's probably a good thing. I like the season/home-opener against St.Thomas occurring during Homecoming Week.

Weak? We’re not really expected to be good... 8-6 or 9-5 maybe.

BYU is probably a tougher game than UH or Wichita State just because of the environment. It's a shame the UH game isn't at the new Fertitta Center but on the TSU campus.

So I guess in conference play, we play everyone once except UNT (home and away there). And then the final five games are determined by our conference placement at that point?

BTW, the schedule is fine for me - about the same as previous years. But I am much more interested in the women's schedule and will be sorely disappointed if they don't step up their non-conference scheduling.

When does MBB rate another out of country trip? Does Canada even count now that Canadian schools are eligible to join? Duke BB is going north next month dukecanadatour.com

Realistically, upsetting Wichita isn't outside the realm of reality. They essentially lost their entire team this offseason. Coolest game on the schedule by far to me is Penn at the Palestra. That'll be an awesome experience against a really good team with a bunch of kids that we recruited at some point.

They are quite a few teams don’t want to schedule Langley’s Owls.

I do see we're playing in the Carolina Classic for women's basketball. We definitely play North Carolina in that round robin event, which is a great name. They're not amazing - just .500 last year but it's certainly a big name with a well known coach in Sylvia Hatchell. North Carolina is also playing Auburn, but I'm not sure if we are playing Auburn or not. I'm not sure who the 4th team might be but I would think that would be our other game out there in Myrtle Beach. Maybe it's Clemson - they would be another really good ACC name opponent but absolutely beatable with a brand new coach (how many have they gone thru since Cristi McKinney now?). But it may be someone besides Clemson so don't quote me on that.

Our other game in that tournament is against Coastal Carolina (Dec 18 vs North Carolina, Dec. 20 vs Coastal Carolina). So I'm aware of 4 NC games now (at UCLA, who was an Elite Eight team last year), this tournament and home vs. New Orleans. The whole schedule should be released shortly?

If I remember correctly at this point in the conference schedule the rest of the schedule will be determined by the conference standings.
