Putin made a good point about the absurdity of the supposed timeline. 500 business tycoons went to Moscow in 2013, 2 years before Trump gave any sign that he would be running for the presidency, but somehow they knew to spy on him? The other two explanations, 1) he was a Russian asset long before that, and 2) they spied on everyone, only go further down the rabbit hole of the alt-left conspiracy theory.
