Julian Newman Basketball
I think Eastern Michigan should be the first D1 school to offer Julian Newman a basketball scholarship. I’ve seen him play, and he’s a beast on the court. What’s everyone’s thoughts. I’ve heard he has no Division 1 offers.

Need details to know who he is...
What high school? What year in school? Etc.

Lessee . . . 5'7 high school sophomore, scoring 32.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 7.5 apg, 2.9 spg, 53% 3-pt range.
Scored 35 at a game at IMG Academy.
I mean, I'd be pleased if we landed him. I don't suppose we could have Earl Boykins recruit him?

Would be a fan favorite. Kid is a killer on court. If you haven’t heard of him, some college team will find this diamond in the rough and you will.

His size is the problem. His heart is not. Sometimes if you put all your cards on the table and tell somebody they are the puzzle piece we need, they will believe in you. This kids 3 range is off the chart. Fast as lightning. I see him being in the league one day.

I have been following MBB recruiting in the MAC over 25 years (I actually go back to Georgetown and their recruitment of Patrick Ewing in the early 1980s).
What this player will probably do is sit back and wait for his recruitment 'to take shape.'
Before long he'll know damn well what his options are.
Then he'll start to narrow his choices based on whatever his criteria are.
