Wide Receiver or Nah
I have a feeling that we will see Rodney Hall mixing it up with the Wide Receivers this year..... Is that’s fair assumption. We can use more explosive players at that position. If Childers is #1 he may never get that QB opportunity especially if his throwing hasn’t improved. In a perfect world he improves his passing by a lot and becomes the number 1 guy.....

RE: Wide Receiver or Nah
I'll guess the opposite and say he does see the field a few times a game strictly to run the qb option and never throws a pass this year. It's this staffs m.o. to get young qbs on the field and save our starters a few hits.

If I made a position switch with him it would to tailback or linebacker. Really good size at 6’2” and 220lbs. Tailback is not very deep. Harbs, Jones and Rowell. At Linebacker we rarely have good size. He’d kill it sideline to sideline.

RE: Wide Receiver or Nah
Even if Hall still wants to play QB he would be wise to consider playing some wideout this fall. He could get on the field and contribute immediately which is unlikely to happen at QB since he came out of the spring fourth out of the four QBs on the roster. He won't even get practice reps this season. Why stand there when you can play. Play some wideout, contribute, have fun and then decide what to do next spring, either redouble his efforts at QB or decide he likes being a receiver. Who knows, maybe he'll turn into our best receiver.

RE: Wide Receiver or Nah
Think he should come in on wildcat plays and see if he develops as a QB. I think our WRs will be solid with Brown, Wesley, and Tears. Also think others will step up. I was very impressed with Wesley in limited action last year. Brown could be better than TLL. Tears can tear it up if he doesn't get suspended.... If Childers and Thompson are solid then a position change is in call for next year so he can get on the field. Or maybe he's so electrifying in limited action he may force a change. That's a win-win.
