RE: New Stadium TV article
I get made fun of a lot on the MW board because of my suport for Stadium, but I know how big they will be. The big thing to me is their OTA broadcasts.
I hope the MW has them more involved in our new TV contract. I'd be happy with them as our main TV partner.

They need to get ASN's old spot on Directv back. Not sure why they didn't take that over in the first place.

FYI, you can get the Stadium TV channel if you download the Pluto TV App (its free) on your Amazon Firestick. I think Roku has the same app as well. It's super legit.

RE: New Stadium TV article
Jerry Reinsdorf built maybe the worst stadium currently in use by a MLB team so hopefully this "stadium" is better designed. The most exciting thing is they are going away from the "hot takes" and more analysis. If this plays out it will be a welcome change from other networks.

They didn't have an ASN channel on DirecTV. They were available on CSN California/Bay Area, CSN Chicago and NESN for some games.

With Stadium, they have great apps for Roku (not sure about other TVs), so you have access to it as long as you have decent internet. As stated previously, it's also on Pluto TV which is available on many devices including gaming systems.

Oh ok. I watched Marshall @ Charlotte in hoops last year on ASN at my uncle's house and he has Directv. It must have been an ASN game on NESN.

Another idea for Stadium. Since Sinclair also owns The Tennis Channel, why not re-brand TTC as Stadium? It's on expanded basic cable. It's in 60 million homes. Plus it gets the channel on Dish & DirecTV.

You can still air the tennis content + all the other live sports and studio shows that are on Stadium.

Seems like a no brainer.

RE: New Stadium TV article
They've been playing a lot of ultimate frisbee lately. Which is pretty entertaining for about 5-10 minutes. Still better than the talking heads that they usually play. I understand it's summer but even in the middle of football season on a Sat afternoon they got people on there yapping about the NFL.

You are correct, almost all the ASN games were on some channel on DirectTv.

Where as Stadium you have to go to their website or Facebook, it would make sense for Stadium to have some partners on a linear station like ASN

Uhhh...what are you talking about? They have 65 stations currently and when the Tribune merger gets finalized, there will be more.
Here is a list of the current stations.
https://s23455.pcdn.co/wp-content/upload...s-4-13.pdf

Also, if you have paid attention above, they are also have their own channel on Roku and Fire stick. They are on Fubo TV and Sling. Not to mention the Apple app and Android app. Oh...and on Pluto TV which is free on Roku and other apps. (you'll come across several sports channels on Pluto TV..including the Big Sky Conference and CIF arena football.)

Good they have added quiet a few stations including Dallas and Houston, still no Shreveport or Monroe for N. Louisiana, which ASN would have been on Dish or Directv.

There are still 21 million directv and 11 million Dish subscribers, thats probably twice or more than all of those Fubo, fire Pluto combined. Only makes sense to play games on a sports channel accessible to 30+ million subscribers

Sinclair-Tribune merger may be in limbo and possibly killed. The proposal was sent to an administrative judge by the FCC (link).

Not saying the deal fall through but the merger may need to meet some stipulations to get approval from the U.S. government.

That is incorrect, in years past almost all games were that were on ASN was also on Direct TV. However last year that changed with ASN merging to Stadium, there was zero games on Direct TV for Stadium. Stadium has channel on Firestick though through Pulto App, so you can still watch on TV but not Direct TV.

I wish we would consolidate all of this somehow, its a lot to keep up with even for us hardcore fans......Games on Facebook exclusive, some games on Twitter, some games just on Stadium, some games on Bein, games on ESPN3, games on ESPN+, games on CBSSN, games on Mars Live Tv, its a lot, CUSA needs to figure out a better way to streamline all of this just for the hardcore fans trying to keep up with it all. Sucks I still have to get Sports Package on Direct TV so I can watch the few games we have on Bein as well as basketball being on FCS. I asked HSSN if that would continue for WKU even though we have ESPN deal and they said as far as they knew men's basketball would remain on Fox College Sports...

Hopefully this season with a newer car I hope to attend 5 or 6 more basketball games this season as well as upgrade my season tickets and make the drive from Lexington much more to BG...
