Interesting. That would bring in a 6th ACC team, enough for an autobid.

Rumors had it that Utah would be granted the 6th spot, but that looks unlikely now.

A FSU move to start men’s lax would beat Florida, which doesn’t have a natural home.

If Florida ever started a program, there would be no shortage of league suitors, likely led by the Big East, who hosted the Florida women's lax team until the AAC took Florida in 2017. The gators already have a stadium for lax, and would be competitive in short order, just as Florida women's team is.

Think Florida wants another SEC partner like they have with Vandy with women’s lax to even consider men’s lax. Those two schools have been in lock steps with each other for women’s .

If Vanderbilt starts men’s lacrosse, I’m sure the SEC would be appreciative of it being accompanied by women’s volleyball or women’s softball, neither of which are currently sponsored by the Commodores.
