I see that the Detroit Lions are so pathetic that even fans of them on this board don’t recognize Darryl Rogers is a former head coach.

In his third year at helm of the Flailing Fords Rogers asked a reporter, "What does a guy have to do to get fired around here?"

Unfortunately his pro coaching career took the same trajectory as Dick Vitales did with the Pistons.

Rogers made a significant contribution to State of Michigan sports culture when he referred to Michigan fans as "The Arrogant Azzes from Ann Arbor."

He was spot on.

Of course MSU fans have become just as arrogant, or worse.

Worse. UM at least has solid academic standards-if not for their athletes then for the rest of the student body. MSU has delusions of grandeur, without the academic standards to back it up.

Of course at the end of the day they are both Big 10 football/basketball mills. The conference as a whole doesn't aspire to the Ivy League, that's certain.
