Former WMU MBB player sentenced to 17 years in a Michigan prison as part of a robbery, etc. gone bad (although he was an accomplice, not the shooter).

but the China story is the one that went national in the US and odds are that guy gets out well before serving most of his sentence like the ex-WMU player will.
