I bet he's going to list Brad's BBQ and then I'm going to Hulk Smash
Brads and Lois BBQ when they were both on Waring and Wells Station respectively were both good. Also Toms and Neelys were good. WERE!!!!
Lois's had the best cheeseburgers in the history of the world-----I still crave them----Topps is now the best----but not close to Lois's.
Yes they did. Then go to Jerrys and get desert.

you just described my childhood! Went to Lois's up until they closed. Riding bikes to Gaisman, the soda fountain at Threadgills, snow cones from The Rebel on Macon Rd.

I stop by there every so often and eat. Neighborhood is rough but food is still good.
You have to watch your back while using the outside window to order.

While there is no such thing is bad BBQ, Central does not even make my top 5. Everyone has an opinion and everyone has favorites. Central just isn't one of my favorites.
What is your top 5?
My top 5 and everyone else top 5 are not gonna be the same. Doesn't matter. Just like asking who makes the best steak, marqarita or who has the best live music. All personal opinions.
No particular order. Going by location, price, convenience, service and overall food.
Fat Larry's
Baby Jacks
Leonards
G Commissary
Corkys
Rendezvous
Tops
Had to take it to 7.
2nd 6
BBQ Shop
Pollards
Interstate
Marlowe's
Cozy Corner
Payne's
In my opinion I will take all of the above over Central.
You must live in Bartlett
Fat Larrys has its moments...Inconsistent though.
Baby Jacks has a consistent taste but their service has been slipping of late. Luke warm to cold BBQ sandwiches just aint right.
Always had another concern about Baby Jacks since they don't cook the food on location...Guess that is me just being OCD and wanting to see the place my food is cooked.

Yeah... no thanks.. that place is so disgustingly dirty and unkept, you couldn't pay me to eat anything out of there.

Have I mentioned that I miss Lois' cheeseburgers-----I wish Connie would reopen-----she is alright---Ace was too. Remember when they were across the street in the old building---next to the old Siscos ?

I thought Baby Jacks built a pit in Bartlett.
Fat Larry's has some great food but their service is the worst. We just get it to go and don't deal with the service.
I miss the old Jacks BBQ on Old Summer. It's a shame they shut down.

This is my stance, as well. I never order pork at Central. But, their other options are pretty dang good...

Gridleys was still good at the small location until it closed about a year ago. Wasn't a fan of the ribs but the BBQ and onion rings were some of the best.
