Offensive tackle Maverick Hansen (6-5, 270) of Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison High School announced his commitment to Central Michigan this evening.

A 3-star recruit, Hansen chose the Chippewas over offers from Syracuse, Iowa State, Toledo, BGSU, Ball State and Kent State.

He is the 12th overall commitment and the third offensive lineman in CMU's 2019 recruiting class.

I agree, we need a couple more in this class. Patrick McMurtrie would be a great addition.

The reason I don't get excited about potential recruits is because 1.) many will defect and/or be poached on signing day. I prefer to be ambivalent, that way the disappointment is a lot less intrusive.
