When does camp start and when does the real depth chart come out?

While I dont disagree, pretty sure ximines was a 3 star.

He was two-star when he committed. He had a rating of .778

Ah okay. Looking forward to another big year from him and hopeful he will be our first player drafted.

OX was also the first player (with full scholarship offers to both) to choose ODU over ECU if Im not mistaken. Showing that what other teams have offered is a better indication of talent than stars. Thats why getting 2 star guys away from Morgan State and Howard is less exciting than getting a 2-star guy away from a MAC, SB or AAC team.

I think summer classes are still going on. Camp will be after the summer session ends, correct?

There are a whole bunch of new Freshman walk ons on the roster at ODU Sports. Does anyone have info on any of these guys?

I don't think it is because ODU hasn't released theirs yet. May be we can expect one half way through the camp. If there is one position we are extremely deep at that would be RB. Cox, Gemonta, Kesean, Sinclair, Simmons, Geiger, Will Knight and finally Lala. Geez we have never ever been deep at a position this good but we have to wait and see who can actually produce on the field this season.

It has Strong as a WR. Unless something has changed in the past couple days, he's the backup RB.

Arnold is QB2.

Ourlads is really for NFL depth charts. They are way behind the curve on NCAA depth charts.

Looking at what we lose on defense after this season: potentially 8 starters and key backups graduate. ODU is looking to retool their entire defense next season.

Everything was building up for this to be ODUs huge breakout year. The defense is there, we had a good set of WRs and RBs, and Shuler Bentley was supposed to be the best QB in CUSA. A lot of seniors and a lot of experience on board this year. The only part that didnt pan out was QB. Maybe SW will be vastly improved. That would be awesome. ODU needs to make the most of this season because I also expect next year to be a temporary step back.

Its almost all WR, DL, and safety. A lot will depend on how the young guys develop at those spots and we might not see much of them this year because of all the senior talent at those spots.

EDIT: And 2 OL, but we've played a ton without Hendricks

The things that standout:

Former RB and ST ace Cooper is the starting TE. He is not a traditional TE by any means. I'm guessing he will be more of an H back. White is a traditional TE backing him up.

Strong or Cox. I knew the staff absolutely loved Strong and he appeared to tear up camp.

Garner beat out Branch for a starting spot, it appears.
