When Kent State beat Buffalo Saturday, it played one of its best games and Buffalo played one of its worst.
Wednesday was Buffalo at its best, and Bulls can be very good. Remember they made the Sweet 16 last season and have an RPI of 37 this year. They've got a shot at an at-large bid again.
Bulls scored 32 more points than Saturday and shot 50 percent (26 percent on Saturday).
KSU's offense struggled largely because Buffalo's defense wouldn't let them do anything. When that happens, Carter and Dingle do try to make things happen. But Dingle took only seven shots (she made one and had six turnovers). Poole and Golden didn't score a point. Thall, who led the MAC in 3-point percentage, missed six from distance and nine overall.
Starkey said Golden has had trouble lifting her arm for a couple of weeks and reinjured her shoulder in the first quarter She still had five steals, five rebounds and three assists.
KSU has a good shot at a WNIT bid; they got one two years ago with an RPI in the 90s. Current RPI is 84.

I'll add more later, but they're about to throw me out of the Q press room.
