Core Values - Texas State
Saw that Vad Lee was at Texas State. it was nice to see. I thought that EW was the shake up we needed at the time.

not trying to hate, but in one of the pix from his trip you can see the Bobcats core values:

- honesty - got it sounds good
- Treat woman with respect - ok, cant disagree with that
- No drugs - um, ok, i see where you are going
- no stealing - alright, we will stop doing that
- no weapons - damn!, now you are really asking us to make some sacrifices

seriously, if these are your core values you may need to reconvene the focus group or reconsider who the heck you are recruiting. they sound more like rules for a correctional facility.

I guess these just missed making the list
- no assaults
- no cheating
- carjacking not recommended

The marketing machine was out of juice when coming up with that list.

Texas State may need to clarify on the treating women with respect core value. All of them? What about the whores aka the hos?

What about weapons, can locker room shanks be carried?

No cheating, on the girlfriend kind of cheating or on a school test kind of cheating?

If women are doing drugs and are dishonest, should they be treated with respect?

RE: Core Values - Texas State
This list is remarkable. It is hardly a list of “core values”. Core values by definition:

Core values are the fundamental beliefs of a person or organization. These guiding principles dictate behavior and can help people understand the difference between right and wrong. Core values also help companies to determine if they are on the right path and fulfilling their goals by creating an unwavering guide.

That is more of a list of rules rather than values. If this is the list for your team or organization then you probably have the wrong people. This list does nothing to help individuals grow and foster a winning culture. If I were a leader at TSU (or LU) I would never have allowed that presentation to have occurred- and certainly not made public. This list screams bad people and bad culture. As the parent of a prospective athlete I would never want my child to be part of that environment.
